David Keane


Landscape Profile began in 1993 with David Keane as the Principal and Beth as partner and administrator. Beth brings a vast experience in Government policy and administration, strategic planning and project management. David previously worked for 22 years with a major mining operator as Quarry Rehabilitation Officer, Properties Manager for mining leases and pegging of new ones, Quality Control Manager and Landscape Consultant to other Australian states and Territories. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying.

David gained his professional qualifications from the Adelaide Botanic Gardens where he studied for four years. He has a vast knowledge of native and exotic flora and has many published contributions. David delivers lectures on ecological land restoration at the University of SA and is involved with field work with students. He has specialist knowledge in natural landscape design and ecological systems.

Landscape Profile has been engaged by over a hundred companies and individuals since formation in 1993. The type of work is varied from pegging mining leases, submission of lease applications and development of mining programs to land rehabilitation and vegetation management. The sites include sand, dolomite, limestone, granite, salt and gypsum in many environments such as creeks, hill quarries, sand pits, salt lakes and mallee to name a few. Locations include Ceduna, Coober Pedy, Andamooka, Port Augusta, Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and the South east of South Australia.
